The India-Germany Classroom Exchange Programme 2024-25 marked the third collaboration between Bal Bharati Public School,Rohini( BBPSRH), and Marienberg Gymnasium, Saxony , Germany.
- Seventeen students and three teachers from Marienberg Gymnasium visited BBPSRH from 26th September to 9th October 2024.
- The delegation was graciously welcomed in a special assembly, where they were greeted with tilak and garlands, embodying the essence of Indian hospitality. They were also welcomed by the singing of the German national anthem by Indian students.
- During their stay, the German students were hosted by Indian families, who treated them with utmost comfort and compassion , engaging them in cultural and community activities and explored the city.
- They participated in immersive activities, including lessons on Sanskrit, Hindi, Indian art, folk dance, Gandhian philosophy,Hinduism and Millets of India & hands on sessions of tinkering in the ATL lab.
- They rejuvenated during an uplifting Yoga Session and took tours of the school while they interacted with teachers and students.
- The German guests were enthralled to witness the extravagant Annual Day celebrations of Primary Department.
- The guests also enjoyed friendly matches of football & volleyball and Kho Kho, a traditional Indian sport.
- The group toured Delhi’s historic sites, including the Red Fort, Gandhi Museum, and C P & Bangla Sahib, and took a day trip to Agra to witness the majestic Taj Mahal.
- In a heartfelt farewell assembly, the German students performed the traditional dandiya dance and sang a German song, epitomizing the beautiful cultural fusion between the two nations. Principal , BBPSRH addressed the gathering on the significance of ‘Global Citizenship’.
- The exchange concluded with a memorable farewell ceremony with imprints of lasting bond of friendship between the two schools and future collaborations.
