EVENTS 2019-20
Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini celebrated the beginning of the new session with Satrarambh. The staff and the students attended the Havan ceremony and enchanted the hymns. The offerings were made to the sacred fire to seek the blessings of the Almighty and to purify the surroundings. The significance of the Havan, a sacred ritual was explained to the students. The school Principal, Ms.Geeta Gangwani highlighted that Havan dispelled negative and untoward energies. She stated that the chanting of mantras produced an invigorating effect on one’s mind and body by dissipating anger and irrational thinking and imbibing positive values such as calmness, tranquillity and controlled attitudes. Prasad was distributed among the students.
The Investiture Ceremony of Prefectorial Board, 2019 for the Senior Department was held on 18th July, 2019. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Group Captain, Rajeev Gupta from Indian Air Force. The ceremony began with prayer seeking blessings from the Almighty. The prefects and the office bearers received their badges from the Chief Guest and took the oath to uphold the values and the honour of the school. Group Captain Rajeev Gupta addressed and enlightened the audience with his four variations of the famous 'Hare and the Tortoise Story'. He encouraged them to follow their passion. The principal, Ms. Geeta Gangwani, also congratulated the members of the previous Board for their outstanding work and also, advised the new Board members to take the glory to greater heights. The programme ended with the National Anthem.
Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini organized Explorika 2019 on 31st July, 2nd and 3rd August 2019. Explorika – Beyond classrooms was an array of interschool competitions that focused on creativity, innovation and resourcefulness. The aim of the competitions was to develop strategic mindsets and adaptive learning among students. The school also hosted the ATL Tinkerfest along with Explorika to stress on the integration of boon s of technology with the modern day education system. The spirit underlying the fest was the conviction that without change there is no innovation, creativity or incentive for improvement.
The event was a huge success with the zealous participation of over 29 prestigious schools of Delhi. The competitions spread over the 3 exciting days included activities for students from preschool to class XII. The competitions encouraged a healthy and vibrant integration of subjects such as S.T.E.A.M, a combination of Biology and Performing Arts, Sanskrit and Instrumental music, Commerce and Visual arts, English and soft tech and many more. Individual competitions’ results added up for the rolling trophy bagged by Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura.

OVERALL RESULT
To commemorate 75 glorious years of Child Education Society, the apex body of all Bal Bharati Schools, Alumni Association BBPS Rohini organized Cleanliness Drive under its annual community engagement programme called, Parivartan: Ek Prayas on 1st September, 2019. The event was graced by Mrs. Shobha Vijender Gupta, Founder, NGO Sampurna and Mrs. Chitra Aggarwal, Councillor, Rohini. The programme began with felicitation of the Guests of Honour by the school Principal, Mrs. Geeta Gangwani and members of Executive Committee, Alumni Association. The students from Environment Club, MUN Club, Health & Wellness Club and Interact Club marched to spearhead the Cleanliness drive around the school campus amidst slogans and loud cheer. The cleanliness team was provided with masks and gloves and was duly supported in the drive by the workers from MCD. The students began with picking up litter and clearing the weeds growing along the school wall. A part of team cleaned the walls by removing the posters with the help of scrubbers. The teams cleared the grounds and transformed the entire surrounding into clean spaces. The programme also comprises of the awareness campaign wherein the students will talk to the vendors around the school campus and reiterate the need to maintain cleanliness. The event was hugely successful as it gave an opportunity to students to contribute towards the cause of cleanliness. Ms. Shobha Gupta motivated the students to use Cloth Bags and reduce single use plastics. The Guests of Honour highly appreciated the initiative of school and the zeal of students exhibited on the occasion.
Bal Bharati Public School , Rohini hosted the prestigious CBSE Regional Science Exhibition on the theme “Science and Technology for Sustainable Development with a Thrust on Water Conservation" on 22 & 23 November 2019.The event saw an enthusiastic participation of schools with various innovative and futuristic exhibits at display. The exhibits were assessed by a panel of illustrious pioneers in various domains of Scientific Research, Science Education and Science Innovation. The jury members were Dr. Geeta Suryakumar, Scientist E, DIPAS, Ministry of Defence; Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Executive Director, Engineering Projects India Pvt Ltd; Mr. Arun Gupta, Chief Manager, Siemens; Mr. Manish Kumar, Asst Professor, Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology; Dr. Ranganath M. Singari, Head, Department of Design, DTU and Dr. Kanika Malik, Principal Scientist, CSIR. On 22 November 2019, the event commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by esteemed members of the jury, Ms Geeta Gangwani , Principal and other members of the school. The school choir sang a mesmerising prayer invoking the almighty. The illustrious judges were welcomed by the Principal in the Inaugural Ceremony. The Principal, Ms Gangwani in her address to the august gathering expressed her heartfelt gratitude to CBSE for extending the invaluable opportunity to BBPS Rohini to organize the exhibition. She also emphasized the indispensable significance of Scientific Innovation, Inventiveness and Scientific Design. The jury members took rounds of the exhibition and assessed 118 exhibits from 88 schools across North West and West Delhi. The exhibits were made on the assigned subthemes. The exhibition included exhibits like ,‘Future Traffic Management’ , ‘Global Cooling Machine: An Environment and Water Conservation Initiative’ , ‘Water Interposer’ ,’An Absolute Agro Protector’, ‘Eco Modular System’ ,Floating Solar Panel’ , SWAT:Systemic Water Analysis and Treatment’ and many more innovatively designed models. Total 42 exhibits were shortlisted for further review on the following day. On 23 November 2019, the day was marked by judgement of the shortlisted exhibits. The entire panel of judges visited the rooms and quizzed the children about their exhibits. The participants were questioned on real –life application and the cost effectiveness of the exhibits. The day ended with Valedictory Ceremony which was attended by special guest, Dr. Sweta Singh, Joint Director, Academics, CBSE. The Valedictory session began with prayer and a dance performance depicting "Hawa ka Dard", pain of polluted air. It was followed by Panel Discussion themed, ‘Ideation to Reality- The Roadmap Ahead’. The judges shared their thoughts and thereafter, the questions, queries and concerns of the students were duly answered by the panel members. In her address, Dr. Sweta Singh emphasised the importance of thinking scientifically such that the ideas generated can be put to practical use to seek viable solutions. The last segment was the Prize Distribution in which 24 shortlisted exhibits were awarded with certificates by the judges. The event was appreciated by one and all.

Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini celebrated Annual Day on 21st April 2018 with great zeal and fervour. Renowned Bharatanatyam exponent, Ms. Prathibha Prahlad graced the occasion with her benign presence as the Chief Guest of the evening. Ms. Nitu,DIG CRPF,Jammu was the Guest of Honour. The School Principal, Ms. Geeta Gangwani warmly welcomed the luminaries, Shri L. R. Channa. President CES, Dr. V.K.Ahuja Chairman, BBPS Rohini, Ms. Suruchi Gandhi, Secretary Manager, BBPS Rohini and other dignitaries of Child Education Society.
The esteemed guests then lit the ceremonial lamp and the school orchestra presented a musical web ‘Fustrashia’. This was followed by an array of cultural events beginning with ‘Hues Of Life’, in the raag Puriya Dhanashri. The students of the primary wing mesmerised the audience with a musical spectacle ‘Tempus Tales’. The tiny tots rocked the stage in colourful attire with their Twists and Twirls. ‘Kingdom Of Cards’, the dance drama retained the original flavour of the fantasy drama Tasher Desh written by Shri Rabindranath Tagore and portrayed the life under fascism and dictatorship. The Rustic Rhythms, a composition of folk dances took the audience on a journey across the vibrant and colourful scenes of Rajasthan, Haryana and Bengal. The cultural extravaganza ended on a positive note with a ray of hope emphasising that strength lies in embracing multi culturalism.
The school Principal, Ms.Geeta Gangwani presented the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the school. The meritorious students who brought laurels to school were also felicitated with trophies and certificates. Dr. V.K.Ahuja Chairman, BBPS Rohini and Ms. Suruchi Gandhi, Secretary Manager, BBPS Rohini presented a vote of thanks to the guests.
A yearlong community initiative by BBPS schools in association with MOKSHAYATAN YOG SANSTHAN commenced from 07-07-2018 at BBPS Rohini .
Rachna - a creative festival was organized on 2nd and 4th August 2018. An array of school competitions was organized in the school to bring students on a common platform and unleash their creative ,dynamic and divergent talents . Keeping in tandem with the latest technological advancement of the present times, BBPS Rohini , stepped forth in infusing expressions of creativity with the boons of technology. It had a list of 8 online competitions along with 4 offline competitions to its list of concours for Rachna.
The prize distribution was held on 4th August . After an analysis of the collective result, BAL BHARATI PUBLIC SCHOOL, Dwarka was declared the overall winner and they took the rolling trophy.
Parent Teacher Association felicitated meritorious students of AISSCE and AISSE of 2018 on 14th August, 2018 as part of Independence day celebrations.
Principal Ms. Geeta Gangwani, Chairman of the PTA executive committee , Mr. Raj Kamal Jindal secretary and other members awarded the students with certificates, trophies and mementos.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a small step. And far and strong have fathomed our foundation teachers, our mentors and the guiding lights of many a students. The school bequeathed Ms. Meera Wadhwa (H.M. Middle and Secondary Department) and Ms. Priya R. Soni (P.R.T.) with heartfelt gratitude on the successful completion of their glorious and beautiful journey of 25 years with Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini. The School P.T.A. presented them with warm citations, a shawl and a cheque of Rs. 5100/- as a token of appreciation for their contribution to the school.
Pundits, co-supported by Pratham-Lead the way, organized a survey among the students of the secondary and the senior secondary level to celebrate the distinguished fabulous teacher for continuously igniting children’s interest and to acknowledge their sublime guidance, Mr. Patanjali Nandan Chaturvedi (P.G.T. Political Science), Ms. Monika Sindhwani (P.G.T. Physics) and Ms. Shweta M. Dhawan (T.G.T. English) were voted as favourites by the student community.

Ms. Anju Mishra (Primary), Ms. Manpreet Kaur (Primary), Ms. Sandhya Sachdev (Middle) and Ms. Monika Sindhwani (Senior Secondary) were declared mentors & were felicitated for their achievements in the morning assembly.
S. Chand Group bestowed Teaching Excellence Award, 2018 in the category, Use of Multi Media /ICT at the Secondary level’ upon Ms. Monika Sindhwani, PGT (Physics) for her teaching of the subject using Power Point presentations: a blend of text, audio, video and GIFs which are regularly uploaded on her youtube channel. She received the award in a special ceremony held at Crown Plaza Hotel, Okhla on 1st September, 2018.

Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini proudly launched its Atal Tinkering laboratory on 21st December,2018.Though the lab became functional in August this year, the official launch event was held on 21st December. The occasion was graced by Dr. Amit Garg and Mr. Ajay Singh. Dr. Amit Garg, who was the chief guest for the occasion, is working as Associate Professor (Electronics) at Acharya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi. The guest of honour for the occasion, Mr. Ajay Singh is the Founder President of Nim-Ray Solar. He is also a mentor appointed by AIM for our Lab.
An exhibition was put up on the occasion showcasing the models and projects prepared by the students under ATL.
Students from 15 schools of Delhi NCR visited the Exhibition .
Republic Day was celebrated on 25th January,2019 . A special assembly was conducted in the school ground for classes 3rd onwards by Ashoka house. After flag hoisting, a cultural program was conducted which comprised of a speech , patriotic songs and quotes and a folk dance. The assembly culminated with the Principal’s speech.
Three students Arnav Kumar, Tanish Batra and Yash Kamra of class IX participated in Robocup Juniors Nationals 2018-19 held at Greenwood High, Bannerghatta, Bengaluru on 2nd and 3rd February 2019. The students secured first position and have qualified for Robocup Internationals to be held at Sydney, Australia.
BBPS, Rohini was recognized for remarkable achievements in various award categories under the Life Empowerment Award organized by Expressions India.The award ceremony was held on 21 February 2019 at National Science Centre.
The school was awarded the Life Empowerment Award for “Vision for School,Family and Community
Partnership”. The Special Jury Award was received by the Vice Principal , Ms Bandhana Sharma.
Life Empowerment Award for Teacher Leadership-Ms Pooja Sharma , TGT Science was recognized for outstanding achievement in the award category “Teacher Leadership and Value Education”.
Life Empowerment Award for Art & Culture -Ms Manpreet Kaur , PRT Art received the Life Empowerment Award for meritorious achievement for “Art and Culture Promotion” on the same day.
Life Empowerment Award for "Peer Leadership for Value Education" was awarded to Ms Namrata Markan , as Mentor of Student Leaders in carrying out activities of peer assistance in promoting value education activities and Vipul Parasher , XI D for his commendable role in Students' Council as the Head Boy in spearheading these activities.Vipul received the award in the ceremony.

A series of orientation programmes for the session 2017-18 for classes Pre Primary I, VI,VII,VIII,IX, X & XI were conducted in the month of April to acquaint the parents with working of school and to acquaint them with the uniform system of examination.
Chemistry Day, ‘Quarks’ was organized at Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini on 19th July 2017. The event was an array of innovative interschool competitions. The day was graced by the presence of experts from the field of Chemistry: Dr. Vandana, Assistant Professor, Dayal Singh College, Ms. Shweta, M.Sc, Studymate Helpline, Mr. Vimal Sharma, Educator and Mr. Ajay Singh, Educator. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by a rendition presented by the school choir. The honourable jury members and guests of the day were felicitated by the school Principal, Ms. Geeta Gangwani. She addressed the gathering and shared her valuable thoughts on the importance of chemistry in academics and day to day life. The school Vice Principal, Ms. Bandhana Sharma gave an Audio Visual Presentation on ‘Quarks’.
The competitions conducted on the day were Science Probe, Chemical Combat, Rendezvous with Chemicals and Wonders with Glassware and saw the participation of 31 schools from Delhi, NCR.
During the Prize Distribution Ceremony, the winners of the various competitions were awarded trophies and merit certificates for their remarkable performances. The overall trophy was bagged by Bal Bharati Public School, GangaRam Marg.

Rachna – a creative festival was organized on 5th August 2017 at Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini. Rachna is an array of inter-school competitions that gives students a common platform to showcase their talents and think divergently. Keeping in tandem with the latest technological advancements of the present times, BBPS Rohini had infused expressions of creativity with the boons of technology to organize 8 online competitions, 3 offline competitions and a non-competitive event. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 21 schools in all the competitions. Both online and offline competitions were judged by a panel of eminent judges and the winners were awarded prizes on 5th August 2017 at the Prize Distribution Ceremony for all the competitions. The offline competitions began with a lamp lighting ceremony to dispel ignorance and make way for knowledge. Ms. Geeta Gangwani, Principal BBPS Rohini encouraged students to do their best and the honourable jury comprising of various experts from the field of arts, theatre and mathematics appreciated the magnificent show put up by the participants. The non-competitive event Nukkad- Natak was a great hit. It was organized with the purpose of instilling leadership, creative thinking, team building and over all a sense of responsibility towards the society amongst the participants. Bal Bharati Public School, Pitampura bagged the overall winners, running trophy and the event ended with great pomp and show.

The PTA body, as is customary, felicitated the AISSCE students of the session 2016-2017 for their excellent performance on 22nd August 2017 in a special morning assembly. All the students who had secured 90% and above aggregate marks and the subject toppers were felicitated by the PTA. Each student was given a merit card, a trophy and a pen drive during the special morning assembly. Arrangements were made for refreshments for the students, parents and PTA members. The School Principal, Ms. Geeta Gangwani, congratulated the students for their commendable performance.
A special assembly for classes VI- XII was organised to mark the celebration of Teacher’s Day on 4th September 2017.
There were cultural presentations that included a Qawwali sung by school choir and a Kathak performance encapsulating the Ganesh Stuti – invoking the Lord of Knowledge. This was followed by felicitations of staff members.
- Shabnam Ajmani was felicitated for the successful completion of 25 years of her service at Bal Bharati Public School, Rohini.
- Purti Khanna received the Star Innovation Award under the Teaching Excellence Awards 2017 by S. Chand Group for her remarkable contribution to English Language Teaching and other endeavours.
- Namrata Markan received the ‘Outstanding Educator’ Award instituted by the organization IIHM for excellence in service.
- Special awards titled the FAB TEACHER AWARD based on a students survey conducted by Pratham. The following teachers were felicitated : Ms. Shweta Dhawan, Ms. Varsha Krishnan, Ms. Shikha Chadha, and Mr. Patanjali. Mementos were presented to the school principal Ms. Geeta Gangwani and Vice Principal, Ms.Bandhana Sharma.
Hindi Diwas was celebrated on a Special assembly on 14 September 2017. The students of classes III-V were present. The programme involved poetry recital of famous Hindi poems by the students, a song dedicated to importance of Hindi sung by the choir and a short skit on the Theme – Eradication of Poverty.
The celebration continued as different activities were conducted in Classes I-V and the students enthusiastically participated in them.

PURPOSE: To sensitize the staff, parents, teachers and students towards the current mental issues prevailing in our society. Students have presented posters, projects, nukkad natak, plays, poems on this day of PTM , i.e Oct 7,2017(Saturday).
The respected authorities and staff wore badges indicating their support for this awareness drive.For the same, posters were displayed on school notice boards for the entire week and videos will be played on the 10th of oct,2017 in every class (vi-xii) during zero period.
BBExSA (Bal Bharati, Rohini Ex Students Association) organised Career Exhibit 1.0, a Career interaction event for the students of Classes XI and XII.
Bal Bharati Public School hosted the Annual Carnival on 19 November 2017 in the school premises. It was an extravaganza of fun and frolic. Amazing rides, multi cuisine food stalls and many other events like Baby Show , Kaun Banega Luckpati, Razzmatazz and Vogue attracted a large number of guests.
The set up of Delhi’s historic monument-The Red Fort marked the theme of the carnival, ‘Dilli Durbar’. The guests enjoyed getting their photographs clicked at the monument. A cavalcade by the primary department showcasing the major attractions of Delhi and Flash Mob by the senior students were the highlights of the event. The school stage rocked with dance and singing performances by the students.
The school chairman, V.K. Ahuja graced the occasion and released the Souvenir. He also appreciated the efforts of the Principal, Mrs. Geeta Gangwani, staff and students to make the event a grand success.
Bal Bharati Public School , Rohini endeavours to make technology accessible to all learners to add value to education. The school has IT enabled classrooms, laboratories and activity rooms. The students are exposed to App designing, Web designing , Robotics , Kudo , Scratch, Internet of Things etc. to hone their skills and creativity.
The school in collaboration with Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd. , affiliated to National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) , organised “ Skill Exuberance ” on 20th Dec, 2017, to showcase the IT skills of budding software developers & Robotic engineers. The event witnessed the participation of around 100 students of Delhi, in App Development, Web Designing and Robotic competitions. The event was judged by experts from Sofcon India Pvt. Ltd. and the students were awarded certificates approved by NSDC.
National Mathematics day was celebrated on 22nd December’17. The day marks the birthday of Mathematician Sirinivasa Ramanujan. A variety of Inter Class and Inter house competitions were held during the day. The Inter house competitions included Designing Mathematical Jewellery, Rangoli using Tangrams and making a Jigsaw puzzle of formulae using the app Formulator Tarsia. The Inter Class activities were Colouring of printed sheets with scenes made out of shape,Making of calendar, Wall hangings using mathematical Shapes ,Paper rangoli using Mathematical Shapes and Maths Model making. A worksheet on Famous Mathematicians and their works was also conducted.
