In order to be declared passed in Class XI,
A. 75% attendance is mandatory for promotion to the next class.
B. The result of the students will be calculated for the promotion/ upgradation to the next higher class on the basis of marks obtained in the Periodical / Half Yearly and Annual Examinations and marks of Practical/Internal Assessment . A student must secure at least 33% marks in each of the five main subjects.
C. In subjects involving practical/ Internal Assessment, a candidate must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% in practical/ Internal Assessment SEPARATELY, in addition to 33% marks in AGGREGATE.
D. If a student fails in any of the main subject it may be replaced by the sixth additional subject and the result of Class XI will be computed accordingly, provided that the student takes that subject as his/her main subject in Class XII.
E. It is mandatory for a student that additional subject opted by the student studied during the session 2022-23 , must be qualified before appearing for Class XII CBSE board exam. The student will not be allowed to pursue the subject in which he/ she has not scored the qualifying marks in Class XII
F. Following students missing Periodicals or Half Yearly examination will be given benefit in calculation of cumulative results-
- Absent on medical grounds
- On duty for any event/activity
- Admitted late
- Changed subjects in Term I or Periodical (Term II
G. A student who has not appeared for the ANNUAL Examination due to medical reason or is on duty for Inter school/ Zonal/State/ International competitions/event or missed examinations for any other reason with the sanction of the Principal, will have to appear for the RETEST Examination for promotion to the next class.
H. Students who have scored less than 33% marks in any one subject will be eligible for Compartment Examination which will be held within one month of declaration of the Annual Result.
PASSING CRITERIA FOR COMPARTMENT EXAMINATION:
A. In order to be declared "passed" in the Compartment Examination, a student must secure at least 33% marks in the subject in which he/she has taken the compartment exam. The promotion is also subject to the condition that he/she secures 33% marks separately in Practical/ Internal Assessment.
B. In case the candidate has passed in practical/ internal assessment but has less than 33% in theory, he/she shall appear only in theory part and practical/ internal assessment marks will be retained. In case a candidate has failed in practical/ internal assessment, he /she shall have to reappear in practical/ internal assessment and theory marks will be retained.
DETENTION POLICY
A child scoring less than 33% in two or more subjects (Theory & Practical separately) will be declared detained.
